The first-of-its-kind in the country, this fellowship is a unique programme led by The ReFashion Hub and YWater. It provides a platform to young apparel, footwear, and accessory designers where they can think about the impact that current models of the fashion industry have on water. It’ll encourage them to look at building their careers with a focus on environmental sustainability, particularly water stewardship. At every stage, we intend to keep the planet at the heart of the conversation and approach traditional business models with creativity, dynamism and experimentation.
At the end of the five week long three modules programme, each fellow will conceptualise a capsule collection, across textile, footwear or accessories, that incorporates the principles of sustainability and water stewardship and present it to a panel of judges. The winner will be awarded ₹1 lakh to bring their sustainable capsule collection to life.
